The following is a list of recommendations to help you leave the apartment in clean condition when you check out. It is not intended to be comprehensive, but will be necessary for returning your deposit. Other items will likely need attention as well. Cleaning Checklist:
All rooms and hallways:
__Windows: Wash inside of windows, thoroughly clean window sills and tracks, wash curtains(if any) on gentle cycle and re-hang to dry
__Floors: Sweep and mop, vacuum thoroughly (corners and edges included), wipe baseboards
__Carpets: Professionally clean after vacuuming. We can help you get started with the shampooer.
__Doors: No visible smudges on either side of door or doorway, wash threshold, disinfect door-knob, dust molding above door
__Cobweb free
__Ceiling fans/lights: carefully dust, report burnt bulbs
__Check smoke detectors. There is one in each bedroom and one other for each floor. Report any missing or damaged smoke detectors. There will be no fee for reported items, fees for smoke detectors will only be incurred if there is clear abuse or neglect to report problems.
__Walls: Leave hooks in place, and remove all splashes, splatters, dust, and dirt.
Kitchen:
__Wipe down all counters, shelves and cupboards (inside and out)
__Clean out and shine sink
__Fridge and freezer: in and under and behind, unplug/turn off and leave open
__Dishwasher (if any): wash dishwasher face and run one cycle empty.
__Oven: run self-clean and wipe interior when cooled; wash and replace knobs, surface and underside of stove top
__Microwave: clean inside, outside, and underneath.
Living Room:
__Dust all flat surfaces, vacuum furniture inside and out.
Bathroom:
__Toilet
__Mirror and shelves
__Shower and tub
Bedrooms:
__Bed: Leave mattress protector (if one was provided)
__Closets: Be certain to vacuum floor and dust shelves
Laundry Room:
__Clean lint trap
__Clean surface of washer and dryer
All entries/front porch/outside stairway:
__Sweep
__No cobwebs

__Set up forwarding of mail to new residence, visit usps.com or post office for instructions
